Renewal of License

For renewal of license – a CHAP comprehensive survey can be utilized as proof of compliance in lieu of a state licensure survey.  (A.R.S. § 36-424 – “The director shall accept proof that a health care institution is an accredited hospital or is an accredited health care institution in lieu of all compliance inspections required by this chapter if the director receives a copy of the institution’s accreditation report for the licensure period. If the health care institution’s accreditation report is not valid for the entire licensure period, the department may conduct a compliance inspection of the health care institution during the time period the department does not have a valid accreditation report for the health care institution.”)
