Community Care Facility Certification focuses on the safety and most appropriate care and services for clients. Community Care Facility includes Residential Care Facilities and Assisted Living Facilities. The term resident is interchangeable with the term client.

Community Care Certification is the organized delivery of resident and family‐centered care that optimizes safety and quality of life by assessing and anticipating client or resident needs, preventing injury, and treating symptoms as they occur. Resident safety and quality of life are measures and outcomes addressed under the Performance Improvement Chapter requirements.
